About jerryj |

|
Are you looking for an honest, good hearted, genuine, sexy, intelligent, funny, handsome, kind, interesting type of guy?
I don't blame you, but read on anyway..
I'm quite tall, which makes me popular with the ladies (the little old ladies who want me to reach something from the top shelf in the supermarket for them). I'm slim, calm, laid back but not complacent, mature but not old, nice looking and can see humour in just about anything. I've a dry, subtle, irreverent sense of fun - wit & humour. I'm affectionate but not stifling. I can be spontaneous if it's well planned. I'm not a 'bottle half empty' sort of person, more a 'Christ, she can knock it back quick' type. I enjoy the odd night clubbing, nice pubs, socialising, good conversation, debate and nights in at home. I must be reasonably fit - last year I cycled to Brighton, felt OK when I got there, so I cycled back again, too. It only took 10 hours there and back, and Southern Rail didn't get MY £17. Ha!
After 29 years working in casinos (but I've never gambled!) I was made redundant in 2007 and I'm now self employed. I'm now a part time NHS Stop Smoking Advisor but I've also just started my own mobile fun casino business, and have other small incomes too. I like having different roles and I don't want to be doing the same thing day in, day out. I'm learning some French, studied for a degree course (until they hiked the fees right up!) and studied counselling which lead me to become a volunteer mediator.
I really enjoy travel but like a lot of things, it's more fun to share the sights and experiences. In recent years I've ridden round Southern India, Europe, the UK and Scotland on motorbikes, and visited Sharm el Sheik, Brussels and Madrid.
I have 3 boys who are just about grown up (my youngest is 19) but they're 80 miles away, and now I need not live near London for work I have an open mind as to where home will be in the future, although preferably away from the city and traffic.
I'm easy to get on with, and I like foreign and regional accents. I’m very tactile if I’m confident it’s welcome, I don't care what age you are (within reason), if you're blonde, brunette, short hair or long, how big your chest is, if you're minted or absolutely potless, but I hope you don't take life too seriously, are fit & active, average height or taller, intelligent, unpretentious, like to travel, and just as happy to spend a night in a tent sharing a sleeping bag as a night in a hotel in a four poster. I want to meet someone with a sharp sense of humour who I want to make as happy as she would make me, someone who will tolerate when I screw up and who I wouldn't give a second thought to giving her the benefit of the doubt. Someone who's name will make me smile when it comes up on my phone with a call or a text. I'm not lonely but I'm fed up not having someone special in my life, and I'm open - definitely NOT into mind games!
PS I don't think I'm being unreasonable wanting a date with someone I find attractive from their profile and their picture. So if you don't have a picture, I'm not going to answer, even if you promise to email/text one. What am I supposed to say if you're not my cup of tea? Send a message back saying "Naah. Don't fancy you"?
PPS Distance - I like the idea of being able to pop round for a coffee and a chat if you've had a bad day, or with a bottle of wine if it was a real bummer. I'd rather spend time with you than stuck in traffic. I'd rather spend the money on us than on petrol. I hope you live in South East London, South West London, Kent, Surrey or Sussex, that's three counties and half a large city. There must be someone within 45 minutes of Croydon! |

Interview with jerryj |
| |
|
What do you like most about where you currently live? It's near countryside but, to be honest, there's not much keeping me in Croydon now my boys have moved away and I don't work in London anymore. |
| |
|
What do you enjoy most about your current job? I'm my own boss and I don't do the same thing everyday. |
| |
|
What are your favourite leisure activities? Travel. Motorbike. Travel on my motorbike :O) Socialising. Walking. Cycling. Conversation. Debate. |
| |
|
Where in the world are your favourite places? Anywhere warm. Tuscany was very impressive. San Morino was stunning - sitting in a mountain top restaurant watching the sunset behind the mountains opposite with clouds below us. Wow! |
| |
|
Where in the world would you love to visit? Can't think of anywhere I WOULDN'T like to visit! Really keen to get to Eastern Europe though.. |
| |
|
What would you do on an ideal date? Somewhere quiet for a drink or a coffee and a long chat so we can get to know each other. I'd hope we'd get on like a house on fire, rather than I'd like to set your house on fire. |
| |
|
What are you looking for in a partner? See below, plus tactile affection. |
| |
|
What makes a good relationship? Support, trust, friendship, empathy, honesty, and we fancy the pants off each other. |
| |

What makes you laugh? I can see the funny side of just about anything. I have to bite my tongue sometimes because of that. |
| |
|
What music do you like? In my car at the moment;
AC/DC, Mozart, Razorlight.
You figure it out because I can't. |
| |
|
What has been the highlight of your life so far? Changing the way I think about myself and waking up! |
