Hi! I have to say I prefer talking or meeting to writing - let's do that?
I seem to be discovering who I am for the first time. These days much more interested in who I'm with than what I'm doing or what I've got; wanting to take some risks with my feelings, explore life and compare notes without secrets, with someone I doubt i've met yet.
I'm told I'm sensitive, even "wise" sometimes; certainly I've played some parts and thought I'd done some things okay - maybe I did - but I mostly feel more like i'm starting out all over wondering what on earth it's all about. Got the key looking for the door. I'd like to share that journey, not find out alone.
So who's coming on this ride with me, that's the question. Helter Skelter it may be sometimes, but we'll stay on track. |

What do you like most about where you currently live?
It's right by the canal and the river. A stone's throw from the town centre yet usually really peaceful. It's my home yet its like being on holiday. People come and go and seem pleased to do so. |

What do you enjoy most about your current job?
How everybody's so different but just the same. Going with my feelings as much as my thoughts. |

What are your favourite leisure activities?
Family friends and good conversation, Almost anything - variety - chaos - often spur of the moment - with peace in between. Love music, cooking, entertaining, eating out, dancing, meditation, games, cinema, dressing up; anything to do with water; canals; swimming and snorkelling; skiing science fiction. Don't like soccer much at all, nor cocktail parties and clubs that much, if they're seriously too noisy for conversation. If I can call them "leisure", I'm well into local politics because I can't stand the way it works, and i'm into "what's out there" because this here ain't all there is, I'll wager. |

Where in the world are your favourite places?
Almost anywhere; mainly just where I happen to be, including right here. If I had to chose one or two - in warm shallow sandy sea off the Baleraic islands; Chinatown in San Francisco; outside at night near to Barnston Parish Church ... Brighton. |

Where in the world would you love to visit?
Everywhere and nowhere. The Maldives, and Goa right now would be good. Used to think a cruise would be awful, but I think I've changed my mind. |

What would you do on an ideal date?
To find I was comfortable being and being real, sharing things and feelings about myself, and sensing she was comfortable in that, too ... to find we were laughing at some silly things. No masks! |

What are you looking for in a partner?
Openness, enthusiasm enough for an army. Sparkling dancing eyes. No hidden agendas. Someone excited to risk and explore life, loving and living in the journeys rather than the expectations ... simple innit? |

What makes a good relationship?
Consideration, alertness, no selfconsciousness, lots of laughter, maybe lots of tears too; just being able to be and be there, knowing each is there for the other together or apart. (Not that I've experienced that yet!!) |

What makes you laugh?
Almost everything sometime or other. Wit and banter rather than longwinded jokes perhaps. Double meanings; and believable absurdities. |

What music do you like?
Among all sorts, folk, jazz, and baroque are the favourites. Bob Dylan, Bert Jansch, Paul Simon; Roberta Flack, Dusty Springfield, Joan Baez. Don't like rap, can't get into ballet, nor atonal stuff; struggle with opera, which is unfortunate as its my daughter's living, but I'm getting there. |

What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Either the moment just a moment ago, or (if I must pick one or two things from the past).. reading Jonathan Livingstone Seagull for the second time; losing myself watching water catching sunbesms; a holiday coast road car drive with Abba on the radio and the kids smiling so hard it hurt. |

What are you looking forward to in the future?
Life. It took me a long time to realise I'd got it all wrong - reliving yesterdays or believing I could anticipate and change tomorrows. Not anymore - I don't know what's in store; so today is what I turn up for, whatever it brings. Of course I can't help hoping .. for lots of shared todays and tomorrows and the days after, but we'll see. Oh and I'd like to get back on the Borough Council and/or change the world. |

What can easily upset you?
That's so variable - anything and nothing. Unfairness. Maybe people saying or seeming to be one thing and doing or turning out to be something different; and I can hate feeling a bit overweight or flabby, or embarassed or self conscious in other ways. |
